    Hi Tim,

I’m relatively new to DepthMap, and I was hoping you could help. I’m trying to understand how the DepthMap software calculates choice (betweenness)– is it based on the angular geodesic (i.e. route with least angular change) or metric geodesic (i.e. shortest route distance) between segments? Also, is there a way to do both types of analyses?

Lastly, is there a way to apply the choice value at the intersection level (instead of the segment level)? I’m hoping to achieve something like what is on the third page of this document:

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    – Ezra

Ezra – please take a look at http://www.spacesyntax.net and join the Depthmap discussion group, where you should get a good answer. Best wishes – Tim
